An old area of vegetable gardens, nowadays recovered as urban vegetable gardens, is one of the green lungs of Santiago de Compostela.

The park of Belvís is a large stretch of land, with more than 30000 square meters, it is about 10 minutes from the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela away and its upper side is beside the neighborhood of San Pedro. In park's design both the walls and the benches were respected along the unevenness of the land and the own streets and lanes of the area: a Tafona or as Trompas.

It is in the middle of a small valley between the old quarter of the old town, the monastery of Belvís and Seminar Minor. It is a good place to go for a walk with the children, there is a playpen, paths for pedestrians, football field, park places, springs, brooks...

Going upwards from Rúa das Trompas and reaching the monastery it is possible to enjoy very good views from the old town.
