Excurcions from Santiago de Compostela

The galician capital Santiago de Compostela is a perfect starting point to explore the whole province of A Coruña. From here you reach after 30 min. by car the seaside, where are the estuaries Rias Baixas. Here you can find medieval fishervillages like Noia, Portoson and Muros.
Worth seeing is also in direction north to the galician cliff line "Costa da Morte", where you can find some lighthouses. For example, in Fisterra whose lighthouse marked for hundred years the end of the earth.

Corcubión, Camariñas and Corme-Laxe are as well fishervillages and lovely places to visit.They have a good habitat for the typical and excellent galician mussels and barnacles (percebes).
At the estuaries Rias Altas are located cities like A Coruña, Betanzos, Ferrol, Pontedeume, Viveiro and Ribadeo.
